The GOAL Mile is going virtual this Christmas, with participants being asked to register to do their mile at a time and place of their choosing, and within their own safe social bubbles.
Traditionally, people all over the country gather in large numbers at 170 locations over Christmas to walk, jog or run a GOAL mile to support the charity's work in Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.
However, GOAL has issued an appeal to its supporters not to gather at their traditional GOAL Mile meeting points this Christmas to ensure Government COVID-19 guidelines and social distancing are strictly observed.
While there may be a temptation to gather locally to do the GOAL mile together, people are being urged to do so on their own, at a time and place of their choice.
