Galway United defeated Cabinteely 1-0 last night in their crunch SSE Airtricity League First Division match.
In the 99th minute Stephen Christopher sent a free kick near the sideline to the top right corner of the net to seal the win.
It was an incredible score as the Galway team had played out the last 30 minutes of the game with only 10 men after Marc Ludden was sent to the stands.
The important three points gives the Tribesmen their fifth consecutive league win and puts them level on points with UCD in fifth place in the battle for a play-off spot.
United continue their promotion push on Friday night when they welcome Cobh Ramblers to Eamonn Deacy Park.
