The Michael Walsh Senior League game between Garrymore and Bohola Moy Davitts didn’t go ahead this afternoon as a player felt symptoms of Covid-19 during the warm-up.
The match referee Kevin Connelly made the decision then to call the match.
Midwest Sport understands the player is from the Bohola Moy Davitts Club.
A statement from Garrymore GAA club this afternoon on their Twitter account confirmed that the game was called off as a precautionary measure.
The South Mayo club went on to say they would like to thank Moy Davitts for their responsible actions in line with the protocols & the protection of all players & officials.
A statement from Bohola Moy Davitts GAA club says all club activities are suspended as a precautionary measure until further notice.
The club went on to say that the situation will hopefully be clarified in the next day or two.
