The GAA is expected to update its guidance this weekend around return to play protocols as the start of the competitive club window looms into view.
Club games have been given the green light from next Friday but there is still confusion around the protocol for a positive test by a player in a club and what is defined as a close and casual contact in the context of Gaelic games.
The GAA's Covid-19 advisory committee met earlier this week to discuss the new advisory with the medics on that committee meeting again to frame a submission for departmental approval that defines the difference between close and casual contacts.
A number of GAA clubs in Cork have been told to suspend activity after two players came into contact with a person who subsquently contracted COVID 19.
Argideen Rangers has confirmed it is one of the clubs.
