The GAA confirmed on Friday that All-Ireland School Series has been postponed for the calendar year.
However, there is a strong push to get this decision reversed.
St. Joseph’s College Foxford were due to face St. Colmcilles Community School in the All-Ireland C Football final on Saturday March 28th but it was postponed due to the pandemic.
St. Gerald’s College Castlebar were due to meet Tralee in the All-Ireland A football semi-final on March 21st which was also brought to a halt.
There is widespread disappointment at Friday’s announcement.
Both Mayo schools have sent a letter to the GAA in a bid to get the decision reversed.
