Mayo Triathlete Stephen Donnelly completed his Ironman challenge for charity in under 9 hours yesterday.

The Ballina man completed the challenge to raise funds for his local meals on wheels service and the Mayo General Hospital Covid-19 patients and staff fund.

The 33-year-old used a commercial-size builders’ skip filled with water to mimic swimming part of the endeavour.

The life guard and swimming teacher at Ballina swimming pool has raised over 10,000 euro for the frontline charities and you can still donate here.
