The GAA are expected to seek more information on the weekend comments by Health Minister Simon Harris that look like bringing closure on the 2020 championship season.

Minister Harris said mass gatherings would be "highly unlikely" this year, with lots of sporting organisations awaiting the creation of a Covid-19 vaccine before a definitive return to action.

The Irish Independent reports that the GAA's Central Competition Controls Committee (CCCC) will host a fixtures webinar later today to guide procedural elements in changing championship structures.

However, the meeting of county chairmen and secretaries will not feature a 'plan' or call to complete schedules by a given date to facilitate an inter-county programme this season.
