The Football Association of Ireland held a meeting with the National League Executive Committee yesterday around the current difficulties facing their clubs and a return to action.

Further talks will now place with all 19 SSE Airtricity League clubs today.

It follows yesterday’s decision from LOI Premier Division club, Sligo Rovers, to temporarily layoff all their management, players and administration staff.

In a statement the FAI says it remains committed to supporting their clubs and players during this difficult period and in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
