Galway midfielder Fiontán Ó Curraoin has been discharged from hospital after being stretchered from the field during Sunday's FBD Connacht League semi-final win over Mayo.

Ó Curraoin sustained a heavy knock in the second half, leading to play being delayed by 12 minutes as he was attended to and eventually saw him depart the field.

The Irish Independent reports that Ó Curraoin had been discharged from Castlebar Hospital late on Sunday night.

It remains to be seen if he will be considered for Saturday's final against Roscommon.
