Two of Mayo AC’s masters athletes represented the club on the Irish team in the 32nd Annual British and Irish Masters International Cross Country at Aintree Racecourse yesterday.
Mags Glavey finished third individual W70 and an excellent bronze medal.
She was just pipped for silver in the final 50 metres – three seconds behind an England runner who sat in behind her for most of the race. The Irish W70 team won bronze – another medal for Mags.
Pauline Moran competed in the second race – all W35-W60 – also over 6k.
She finished second W60 and adds a silver medal to the gold she won last year in Swansea.
She led the Irish to silver W60 team medals again
Paddy O’Toole (Westport AC) was another Mayo master medal winner when the Irish W40 team won gold.
