This year’s Connacht Club Intermediate final throws up a Mayo/Galway combination for the fourth year in succession.
Since Ballyhaunis were defeated by Ahascragh/Fohenagh in 2016, Tooreen have got to the ultimate round every year since.
In 2017 Tooreen overcame Ballinderreen to become the first non-Galway team to lift the crown.
Twelve months later Oranmore/Maree topped Tooreen in a match which saw Tooreen end the game with 13 players.
This year it’s the turn of South Galway side Kinvara to face an East Mayo opposition.
We’ll have full live commentary of Sunday’s Connacht Intermediate Hurling final with Michael D McAndrew and Frank Browne.
Throw-in is at 2pm in Athleague on Sunday.
