Mayo GAA Chairman Mike Connolly thanks Mayo legend Andy Moran for his service to the county.
In a statement the Mayo GAA Chairman said ‘he was an outstanding forward as typified by his two All-Stars, 8 Connacht medals and numerous other accolades he won along the way. To play for your county 183 times is an unbelievable achievement.’
Mayo manager James Horan said that Andy’s retirement brings to an end to an amazing inter-county playing career. Andy was a brilliant player and fantastic person that did everything humanly possible to be the best he could be.
During his career Andy won many accolades such as:
