Galway minor hurling boss Brian Hanley praises underage selectors for the county wide reach of his player base.

After sealing a third consecutive All-Ireland in-a-row against the Cats yesterday, the minor hurling manager believes talk of panelists coming from football strongholds is blown out of proportion.

On last nights’ Sunday Game Cyril Farrell made note that the All-Ireland champions had players from traditional football clubs due to men from hurling strongholds ‘marrying in.’

The minor hurling manager says that if a player is good enough, he will be selected for the team irrespective of where in the county he was born.
