Kevin Coughlan,

St. Mary's Villas and late of Bridge Street, Westport and formerly of Maynooth, Co. Kildare - peacefully, in the Pilgrims Rest Nursing Home, Westport in his 97th year.

Predeceased by his wife Annie (née Duffy) and his daughter Mary.

Deeply regretted by his loving family Kevin, Anne & Martina, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Joan and Doreen, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends

MAY KEVIN'S SOUL REST IN PEACE

Reposing at McGing's Funeral Home, Westport (F28 RX58) on Monday (Sept 25th) from 5:00pm until 6:15pm with removal at 6:30pm to St. Mary's Church, Westport. 

Requiem Mass on Tuesday (Sept 26th) at 11:00am followed by burial in Aughavale cemetery.

Sorry to hear of Kevin's passing, a Lillywhite true and true. Kildare were the first team to win the Sam Maguire back in 1928 and his great hope was that they would win it again in his lifetime. His second choice without a doubt was his adapted county Mayo. He always supported the local G.A.A.club generously. In fact he hurled with my father Mick back in the fifties. He was no mean hurler and played in goal for Westport. Pre Covid I would often run in to Kevin in the Porter House and we'd talk of the good old days, his memory was
crystal clear. His good wife Annie nee Duffy was the salt of the earth and I mean the salt of the earth. No finer a person on this earth and Kevin's right hand. So long Kevin your gone to join your beloved Annie, Rest in Peace.
