Val (Valentine) Byrne,

Brooklawn, Ballyfoyle Road, Kilkenny and formerly of Main Street. Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo - peacefully surrounded by family and in the loving care of the wonderful staff of Maynooth Lodge Nursing Home.

Predeceased by his first wife, Anne (Byrne, née Granville) and second wife, Bid (Brigid) (Byrne, O Carroll, née Killilea), brothers Tommy, John and Brendan and sister Anne.

Deeply mourned by his loving children Derek, Val Jnr., Ronan and Laurann, stepchildren Brian, John and Maeve (O’ Carroll), brothers Fr. William (Columban) and Michael, sister Maria, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren Colin, Aidan, Ronan, Liam, Kyra, Anya, Rían, Callum, Saidhbhe, Ava, Faye and Niall, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Donnellan’s Funeral Home, Clare Street. Ballyhaunis on Sunday evening, 28^th May from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock.

Requiem Mass will take place on Monday morning, 29^th May at 11 o’clock in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyhaunis.

Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.
