ESB Networks is issuing a warning around public safety a week on from Storm Éowyn.
ESB Networks has brought power back to 711 thousand homes, farms and businesses, following the unprecedented impact of Storm Éowyn.
However around 57 thousand customers remain without electricity this morning.
ESB crews are working to restore power but many across this region aren’t expected to have power restored until Wedneday.
It's been made aware of several potentially very dangerous incidents, where people have unknowingly approached fallen electricity infrastructure, particularly in the worst impacted areas of the country.
It's warning fallen debris can prevent people from seeing hidden risks such as wires entangled into trees and branches.
It's advising if people come across fallen wires or damaged electricity network, never, ever touch or approach these as they are LIVE and extremely dangerous.
