2024 saw a record low number of workplace related deaths here.
The HSA says 33 people lost their lives in work related incidents last year, down 23 per cent on 2023 figures.
Since 2015, the rate of deaths while at work has more than halved to stand at 1.2 per 100 thousand workers.
Locally, there was 1 fatality recorded in each county of Mayo, Sligo and Roscommon, with 2 workplace related deaths noted in Galway.
