Met Eireann is warning temperatures could drop as low as minus 10 degrees next week.
A Status Yellow low temperature and ice alert will come into effect nationwide from 6 o’clock this evening.
Met Eireann Meteorologist Joanna Donnelly says there's likely to be snow on the way for certain parts of the country.
She says temperatures could drop as low as minus 5 degrees tonight, with further cold weather on the way.
