Parcels arriving into An Post hubs today and tomorrow likely won't be delivered before Christmas.
The postal service is promising anything which arrived by midnight last night will be with the recipient by the end of tomorrow.
It's also expecting to deliver around five million cards and letters before Wednesday, with today being the last day for on-time postage.
