A nationwide 24-hour speed enforcement operation is underway as Gardaí confirm that more than 150 thousand fixed charge notices for speeding were issued so far this year.
Today marks the final National Slow Down Day of the year as thousands of people take to roads this weekend to make the journey home for Christmas.
