The number of registered landlords increased by 5 point 7 per cent in the last year.
New figures from the Residential Tenancies Board recorded the jump in registrations between September 2023 and 2024.
The RTB also says more landlords are entering the rental market than leaving it, despite almost 4 thousand notices of terminations of ownership in the same period.
