The final Mayo seat went the way of Aontú’s Paul Lawless, who just six months ago was elected to Mayo County Council.
From early doors, Lawless was under pressure with a relatively low first preference vote for someone who would eventually be elected.
Despite a slow start, it was transfers from other candidates that helped him over the line.
