The number of unaccompanied learner drivers on the roads is rising year on year.
Nearly 5 thousand people have been caught by Gardaí so far this year, up from 2 thousand-five hundred and eleven in 2019.
More than 24 thousand vehicles have been seized from unaccompanied learner drivers since 2018, according to the Irish Times.
