An order has been signed confirming Friday November 29 as polling day.
It will happen between 7:00am and 10:00pm.
Candidates can still put themselves forward over the next week - the deadline for nominations is Saturday November 16.
While people have until Tuesday to ensure they're registered to vote - voter.ie for Dublin, and checktheregister.ie for everywhere else.
