A Sligo councillor has declared she will contest the upcoming General Election as an Independent Councillor.

Marie Casserly has been a councillor in the county for a number of years, and has now decided to contest the upcoming general election in the Sligo/Leitrim constituency.

Councillor  Casserly believes that with dedicated resources and a full-time focus, she could bring even greater progress to the North West.
