Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road collision in County Roscommon.
An accident took place this afternoon on the N4 Boyle to Carrick on Shannon road between Forest Park and the Ardcarne junctions.
The Roscommon Herald have reported that the Air Ambulance is also at the scene.
Motorists are being advised to approach with caution, and avoid the area if possible.
Local diversions are currently in place, with the road expected to reopen at around 7:00pm.
It has not yet been confirmed if anyone has been injured.
