There are calls to extend the young adult Leap Card in the upcoming Budget.
Discounted travel rates with the card are currently available to students in full-time education and adults up to their 26th birthday.
Fine Gael Senator Maria Byrne says the rates to be extended to the age of 30.
She feels it would benefit everyone.
