The energy watchdog is advising people to switch provider to save money.
Based on data from the Commission for the Regulation of Utilities, the average household can save up to 400 euro a year by switching to a different provider or renegotiating their current plan.
Figures also show there's been an increase in the numbers of households switching both their electricity and gas providers.
