Mayo County Council have confirmed today that bathing prohibition and do not swim notices for two beaches have been removed.
The notices were in place for Carrowmore Beach and Old Head Beach.
In both situations, the action was taken due to deterioration in the quality of the bathing water.
Meanwhile, the bathing prohibition and do not swim notice at The Point in Westport remains in place.
It is not yet known when this restriction will be lifted.
