A national protest is being held at Shannon Airport today to oppose the US Airforce using the facility.
Groups including Shannonwatch, the Irish Anti-War Movement and the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign have organised the event kicking off at 2 o'clock this afternoon.
Demonstrators are also criticising the alleged transportation of weapons through Irish airspace by Israel.
