A man remains in a serious condition at Galway University Hospital following an incident at Ballinasloe train station on Wednesday.
Gardaí were alerted to an incident on the train line, and attended the scene at approximately 5:40pm.
Following the incident, the train line was suspended and a man was removed from the scene to hospital in a serious condition.
Services on the train line have since been restored.
