An investigation is ongoing into an explosion outside Abbvie in Westport last week.
Emergency Services attended the scene after (what is understood to be) a “chemical” explosion occurred outside the pharmaceutical company shortly after 8:00am.
A man was injured and brought to Mayo University Hospital for treatment of injuries that are not life threatening.
The Health and Safety Authority are currently investigating the incident.
