Gardai in the Ballina District are advising the general public to be extra vigilant on bogus callers coming to their doors.

Gardai say there has been a number of incidents recently of cold-calling to people's homes in the Bonniconlon, Knockmore and Crossmolina areas.

Gardai are advising the public that if they see any suspicious activity near their property to contact Gardai immediately.
