Students are being taken advantage of with a 51-week mandatory lease, according to the University of Galway's Students Union.

They're calling for legislation to be introduced to stop exploiting students who have to pay an extra 16 weeks of rent outside of term.

Dean Kenny, President of the Students Union, explains the government are in agreement with the call.
