Pressure's being put on the Agriculture Minister to protect the livelihood of farmers.
The Irish Farmers Association says they need increased protection from dominant food buyers.
It says they should not be allowed to buy agri food products below the cost of production.
IFA President Francie Gorman is making this call on Minister Charlie McConalogue.
