20 thousand people, including almost 10 thousand children, are waiting for audiology appointments in Ireland.
That's according to the national charity for the deaf and hard of hearing who will appear before the Oireachtas Health Committee today.
Chime are calling for a national hearing care plan which they say has been promised but not delivered.
Director of Advocacy Brendan Lennon says having a plan in place would help tackle the unacceptable number of people who are waiting for care.
