The N17 between Ballindine and Milltown has been closed this morning following a three vehicle road traffic collision.
No fatalities have been reported but it is understood that there are serious injuries.
An Garda Síochána have detailed to Midwest News that the road will be closed for the foreseeable future.
Diversions are in place from both the Ballindine and Tuam sides.
All Emergency Services and the Coast Guard are at the scene.
