Status yellow wind warning has been extended to counties Mayo, Galway and Sligo and will come into effect from 2 o'clock this afternoon.
Met Eireann say it will be very windy for a time today with southeast winds gusting up to 100km/h in some areas.
This may result in difficult travelling conditions, fallen branches and weakened trees.
The warning will run until 8 o'clock this evening.
