An extension has been approved for Knockanillo National School on the outskirts of Ballina.
Minister Dara Calleary has received confirmation from Minister Norma Foley that a 1x80m mainstream classroom has been approved.
The project will include the removal of the prefab presently on the site.
The Fianna Fáil Minister has paid tribute to the school staff and management on securing the investment in the future of the school.
