Two Mayo podcasts have been listed in the top five for the 2023 Listeners’ Choice Awards as part of the Irish Podcast Awards.

The Ah Ref podcast and Alan Clarke’s Big News Coming Soon Podcast have both made it through to the final five.

Ah Ref is a GAA podcast which delves into all things current in Mayo, whether that be in the midst of the National Football League or in the build up to this weekend’s county final action.

The podcast is hosted by the man they call ‘Ref’ and Enda McGearty with regular contributions from John Stagg and Ronan Kenny.

Alan Clarke brings a range of guests to his podcast which has recently taken to the live stage in venues such as the TF Royal Hotel & Theatre.

Clarke is a well known broadcaster and influencer, who has worked recently both in live shows and on social media with Mayo comedians such as Garron Noone and Stephen Cowboy Kelly.

The winners of t his year’s Irish Podcast Awards will be announced on Tuesday November 21 at The Morrison Dublin, Curio Collection by Hilton.
