As Ballina Stehenites face Beaffy on Sunday in the county senior football club final, Midwest News Editor Teresa O'Malley decided to check out support for both sides among young fans.

She was in St Oliver Plunkett’s  - the Quay National School in Ballina and spoke to enthusiastic supporters in Ms Groarke’s third class...Ms Groarke is from Breaffy, Castlebar and that is adding to the excitement ahead of the big match...

Sean Gallagher is the Principal of the school and he told Teresa about the close connections the school has with Ballina Stephenites...

Ms Maloney’s second class are big fans of their local team,  and were waving flags and strong in support of the Stephenites as Teresa entered their classroom and spoke to some of the students..

Finally Teresa spoke to a number of senior class students – who had just been involved the mini sevens – three siblings and others gave their views on how and why Ballina Stephenites are set to lift the Paddy Moclair cup...
