Today’s monthly meeting of Ballina Municipal District was adjourned for ten minutes at the start of proceedings as a mark of respect to the late councillor Geraldine Bourke.
Geraldine was co-opted on to the local council following the death of her husband Padraic.
Their daughter Orla Burke is a council official and was in attendance at today’s meeting.
