The European Commission says it stands with Greece as wildfires there are now the largest the EU has ever faced.
Over 73,000 hectares of land have been burned.
Emergency assistance is being mobilised by the EU, with eight neighbouring countries also having sent help.
Meanwhile, Greek officials have promised to track down and prosecute anyone who is responsible for deliberately setting fires.
