The Sligo County Fleadh takes place over this June Bank Holiday Weekend in Easkey.

The event is hosted by Tireragh CCÉ in conjunction with Sligo County Council.

Proceedings kicked off last night with an official opening and concert at the Easkey Community Centre, with Glór na dTonn Céilí Band, Tireragh CCÉ Performance Group and Bróga Bríomhar Dance School & Brush Dancers all in action.

Among speakers on the night at the grand opening were Ballyhaunis based Deputy Dara Calleary and Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council Michael Clarke.

Acts across the weekend include the Swallow’s Tail Céilí Band who feature musicians from across Mayo and Sligo who have played nationally and internationally. They will be on stage at the Easkey Community Centre from 9:30PM tonight.

Easkey Community Hall: F26V2T3 (Sun)

Factory Sports Hall (Sun - Dancing)

The Fleadh Office is located in Coláiste Iascaigh (EIRCODE: F26 EC56) where recording permits will be available (Sat) and Easkey Community Centre (Sun). Permission slips, to video record a family member/group performance must be obtained and handed to the call steward prior to the competition.

Please familiarise yourself with the timetables and the venues for your competitions.

If you have two or more competitions where times clash, please fill a late slip in the Fleadh Office.

If you decide to withdraw from a competition, please let the the Fleadh Office know.

All prize winners, 1st, 2nd or 3rd, please have your official photo taken. Official photographer available in the Fleadh Office in Coláiste Iascaigh (EIRCODE: F26 EC56).

Trophies/Cups can be picked-up from the Fleadh Office.

Adjudicator’s reports are available to be posted out to the competitor. Forms which are available from the fleadh office, will require, name, address and category together with a fee of €2.00 for the first sheet and €0.50c for further sheets. Highly recommend this.

There will be an area in the Fleadh Office showing results from the various competitions.
