An early morning raid has been conducted in Mayo by armed Gardaí and the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB).
According to media reports, the raid took place on a property in the west of the county.
Midwest Radio News contacted the Garda Press Office for further detail on the matter and they say they cannot make any comment on ongoing operations.
A source is quoted by the Galway Beo website as stating: "There was a massive armed response unit with as many as 10 armed response unit vehicles seen by locals speeding towards the small village in Mayo to carry out the operation."
There are no further details available at present.
