The Education Minister says she "hopes and expects" the Leaving Cert results will be released in August.
With just three weeks to go until the State exams begin, thousands of sixth years are in the dark as to when they'll receive their grades.
Last year's results were delayed until the second of September, due to a number of reasons, including two sittings of the exams and a shortage in examiners.
Minister Norma Foley says she hopes a results date will be announced in the coming weeks.
