There is a call on the government to deport failed asylum seekers.
According to a Freedom of Information figures, 4,631 deportation orders have been issued in the last five years.
Gardai enforced 314 of these orders, while the Department of Justice assisted another 430 people to self-deport.
However, 3,887 people who were issued deportations are unaccounted for.
