The Saw Doctors will play an exclusive Irish show this summer in their home town Tuam, on Saturday August 19th in a Big Top marquee in the grounds of St. Jarlath’s College.
In June they will play Glastonbury, heading the Acoustic Stage at the festival on Friday June 23rd. Davy Carton, Leo Moran and the Tuam shams will also headline the Wickham Festival in Hampshire in August and the Moseley Folk & Arts festival in
Birmingham in September.
The Saw Doctors debut album was first released in 1991, going straight to No.1 in the Irish Charts with the singles, ‘I Useta Lover’ topping the charts for nine weeks and ’N17’ climbing to No. 2 in the charts.
They last played Tuam when they sold out the local football Stadium in the glory days of the band’s break out success in September 1991.
Tickets for the Tuam gig this August, titled ’The West’s Awake’, will go on sale on Friday March 24th at 9.00am from www.ticketmaster.ie
