The remains of Irish born nurse/paramedic Fiona Lavelle, who died while hiking in Australia some weeks ago, will be flown home to Ireland tomorrow (Monday) for a funeral ceremony.

Fiona (41), who lived in Perth with her husband John McLoughlin, passed away suddenly on February 21.

A GoFundMe account was set up by friends to pay for the cost of the repatriation of the remains.

Fiona is a native of Crumpaun, Keel, Achill, where her parents, Hannah and Michael are living.

She is also survived by her sisters, as well as other relatives.

Her remains will repose in Lavelle's Funeral.Home, Achill on Tuesday evening from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Removal from her family home on Wednesday morning to St. Patrick's Church, Pollagh for Funeral Mass at 11am.

Private cremation will take place afterwards at 4pm in Shannon Crematorium .
