Mayo Deputy Rose Conway Walsh has criticised government TDs for their ‘shameful’ decision to end the eviction ban.
There have been some heated exchanges in Dáil Éireann over the past few days over the government’s recent decision to end the ban.
The Sinn Féin TD said that this decision will only plunge more people into homelessness in County Mayo, with figures escalating in the country in excess of 11,000.
However, Deputy Conway Walsh believes these are not the true figures and there are in fact more people that are either homeless or living in poor conditions.
She gave further explanation on this to Midwest Radio’s Rian Bailey:
